Saramugo LIFE Project takes us to the countryside where, through a pedestrian walk (3Km) along one of the most important tributaries of the Guadiana river, namely the Vascão stream, invites to the discovery of the habitat of one of the most threatened freshwater fish species of our country and the Iberian Peninsula: the saramugo (Anaecypris hispanica).
The Alferes old mill is the point of arrival of this trip along which we will also know the Project LIFE Saramugo, its objectives, what are the main threats to the saramugo, and also some good management practices aimed to the preservation of the water lines and riverbank vegetation.
There will be time to enjoy the beautiful landscape of the riverside and time for picnic.
