On November the 5th and 6th, the performances of the play “A Grande Aventura dos Pequenos Saramugos” took place respectively in Moura and Mértola.
The play produced by the theater company “Os Muzumbos”, inspired by the project's children's tale, aims to consolidate previously acquired knowledge on issues related to the ecology, conservation and relationship of the school community with the saramugo and also intends to raise awareness to this theme for other students who, for some reason, have not had contact with the project.
The participatory theater play, designed for pre and elementary school students, is thus the final milestone of the environmental education component that the Project set out to do with the school community and began in the 2015/16 school year.
In the total of two days and after 2 sessions in each Site of Communitary Importance (SCI Guadiana and SCI Moura/Barrancos) we managed to reach more than 550 people, including students, teachers and educational assistants taking the name of this small endemic fish of the south of the Iberian Peninsula, which is Critically Endangered.
