LIFE Saramugo Project was present with the communication “LIFE Saramugo - Conservation of saramugo (Anaecypris hispanica) in the Guadiana Basin (Portugal)” announcing its actions and what is being done in the riverside habitat for the conservation of saramugo .
This event that encouraged the submission of papers that shed light on how “knowledge of biodiversity is necessary for the development of management and conservation measures for the sustainability of the planet” aimed to bring together experts, researchers, students and stakeholders. who have been working in this area, promoting the exchange of knowledge. Nearly 150 participants were part of this seminar.
The program of the event was based on several thematic sessions that reflected the various aspects of the seminar: the major threats to biodiversity conservation; the management and conservation of species and habitats (where LIFE Saramugo's presentation was inserted); the ecology, management and planning of aquatic ecosystems; and habitat monitoring and modeling in response to global changes.
