Current research interests
Monitorization of aquatic ecosystems, with special relevance to bio-indicators based on benthic fauna and fishes; forest ecology and sustainable management of afforested catchments;; development of hydromorphological survey systems; ecology and restoration of riparian layers; river restoration with particular incidence on soil engineering techniques for erosion control; mitigation measures on regulated rivers: environmental flows and fish passes; environmental impact assessment studies and compensation measures on the effects of river damming.
