Through this Action, a survey of interested stakeholders that might support directly or indirectly a Nature Custody network for the saramugo, in the intervention area of the project, will be carried out.
The main objective of nature custody is to change the behaviour of the owners, and other users of the territory (farmers, fishermen, companies, municipalities...), through awareness-raising and active participation in the conservation and sustainable use of natural, cultural and landscape resources.
In order to do so, the custody entities, either public or private, become the true promoters of nature custody, being responsible for the contact and awareness-raising of the landowners and land used, alongside other social agents, such as companies, public administration (central and local), and the general public.
As a result, it is expected that a network of entities and citizens pledged to develop efforts towards the protection of this threatened species will be put in place.
